On Sept. 30, ChickQueen, a prominent United Arab Emirates-based fast-food chain, will be opening in Toronto at 247 Queen St. W. and will be celebrating with free food, gifts and contests. Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., the restaurant chain says first-day festivities include free chicken, contests and "lots of freebies." The news release adds that the first 100 customers will get a free drumstick and biscuit, a chance to win $1,000 cash, plus a one-year supply of ChickQueen's chicken and hundreds of bonus prizes. This opening marks the second ChickQueen restaurant to be located in the GTA, with the first in Mississauga arriving last July.
